Frequently Asked Questions
Where do Lake Country Christian School students go to college?
LCCS students attend colleges and universities across the United States. Our graduates perform exceptionally well at the SAT and ACT placement process; in fact, many colleges have begun seeking out our graduates. Our CEEB code is 442-526.
How diverse is the School?
The ethnic diversity of LCCS reflects the Northwest Tarrant County community. The diversity of our school creates a unique and uplifting learning environment.
Do both parents need to be Christians
The admissions criteria of LCCS states that at least one parent in the applicant’s home must be affiliated with a Bible-believing local church and in regular attendance and must support our statement of faith. LCCS strives to be distinctively Christian and teaches from a biblical worldview. Parents must be in agreement so that there will be unity between the school and the home.
Does Lake Country Christian School accept only Christian families?
While there is no restriction on applicants, it should be noted that our School exists because of Jesus Christ and for the glory of God. Our families must agree in writing and adhere to our statement of faith as part of the application process, since a lack of sincere support for the Christ-centered worldview taught at LCCS would be both confusing and detrimental to the student.
What is the cost of an education at Lake Country Christian School?
We are committed to making the education as affordable as possible for our students. With our graduated tuition schedule and tuition rates significantly less than comparative independent schools in Fort Worth, the value of an education at LCCS is hard to match. Our excellent faculty, vibrant community, and access to the city’s top cultural landmarks make LCCS a truly unique learning environment. We offer need-based financial aid to the extent our budget allows, in order to make our School accessible to as many as possible.
Do I need to apply prior to scheduling a tour?
Feel free to contact our admissions office at mwhitbeck@lccs.org or 817-710-1232 for a tour. We are happy to schedule a personal tour of the school at a mutually convenient time, either before or after an application has been submitted. Prospective parents are also welcome to attend open house events throughout the year.
At what age can my child begin Lake Country Christian School?
Our Pre-school offers a three or five day per week class for children who are three years old before September 1. In addition, parents of children who are four years old before September 1 may choose from a three or five day a week program. All students applying will be assessed to determine placement and readiness to succeed at LCCS.
How and when do I apply?
Applications are accepted for grade levels at LCCS throughout the school year as long as there are openings for additional students in their grade levels. Re-enrollment for the coming school year is open in January each year.
How much financial aid can I receive?
The amount of financial aid varies based on a needs assessment done by FACTS, a third party vendor. Our financial aid committee then looks at each assessment and determines the award amount.
Do you offer After-School care?
LCCS provides after school care for students in grades K-8 until 5:30 PM daily.
