Welcome to Academic Counseling!

  • Beginning in ninth grade, the academic counselor provides students with guidance to meet their educational and career goals. This includes course selection, scheduling of courses, and providing information regarding college entrance testing programs. 98% of Lake Country Christian School graduates attend a 4-year college or university. The class of 2010, 41 students, received $1.2 million in scholarship offers.
  • The counseling office also keeps accurate academic records, communicates course requirements, resolves scheduling conflicts, posts college entrance testing dates, and facilitates transcript requests.
  • The counselor at the 10th grade level teaches a College and Career course, which initiates student interest in the College and scholarship search process.
  • Each year, the counselor takes the high school juniors to area College Fairs so they will have the opportunity to visit with various representatives from both Christian and secular universities and colleges.
