Fine Arts :: School of the Arts

Lake Country Christian School is unique in its offering of a School of the Arts as a part of a student's education. By providing private instruction, we elevate the level of performance of our students, both in the classroom and in outside competitions. It is part of our philosophy that private lessons are the backbone of an outstanding fine arts program.

Every student has the opportunity to take private lessons with professional teachers in a variety of areas. Our private teachers have degrees in their areas of expertise, and many of them have years of teaching experience in addition to continuing their own performance careers.

 
Private lessons are offered in:
  • percussion
  • brass
  • woodwind
  • piano
  • classical guitar
  • electric and bass guitar
  • classical voice
  • musical theatre voice
Group lessons are offered in:
  • music theory
  • chess
  • dance
  • art
  • theatre

These private lessons are offered before, during and after school. Recitals are given each spring showcasing each area: voice, instrumental, and piano. In addition, students can compete outside the school in the ACSI solo performance competition and the Piano Guild competition.
