Missions
is an integral part of Lake Country Christian School's missions statement: to
educate, equip, and encourage Christian leaders to fulfill their God-given
purpose and impact their culture.
Psalm 2:8
"Ask of me and I will give you the nations as an inheritance..."
Lake Country
Christian School is committed to missions. Acts 1:8 commands us to be
witnesses in Jerusalem (Fort Worth), Judea (Texas), Samaria (Mexico), and the
uttermost parts of the earth (overseas). Our desire is to give students
an opportunity to fulfill these verses and to see the purposes of God revealed.
All high
school students participate in local outreach and missions. HS Mission Days are incorporated into the
school calendar. During the past 10
years, LCCS has sponsored short term mission trips in the fall and spring if
each year. Students raise support to
fund these trips. Students have traveled
to Galveston, Arizona, El Paso/Juarez, Honduras, Spain, Thailand, Peru,
Argentina, Panama, Romania, Scotland, Germany, Turkey, England, South Africa,
and Italy. Mission teams work with long
term missionaries and assist them as requested.
Some trips have been physical and building project based, others based
on work with schools, orphanages, feeding the poor, medical clinics, evangelism,
intercession, outreach through the arts or sports and cultural exchanges. Students apply for positions on these trips
and spend time prior to and upon returning preparing and then de-briefing from
these experiences.
