Student Activities :: 4-H Club

4-H is the youth education branch of the Cooperative Extension Service, a program of the United States Department of Agriculture. Each state and each county has access to a County Extension office for both youth and adult programs.

    The club has adopted the Willows Retirement Home for community service and has participated in a clothing drive for Burma and the Fort Worth Area Food Bank.

    Contests entered include the Foods Show, Talent Show, Fashion Show, Livestock Shows (national and local), and Demonstration competitions. There are plans to enter the Shooting Sports competition in the spring. Many scholarships are available to 4-Hers nationwide, and 4-H is recognized by colleges and universities as a strong leadership program. 4-H is an organization that molds children into community leaders which makes the 4-H motto, "To Make the Best Better," a fact.
