HIGH SCHOOL PROFILE

SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY
Lake Country Christian School is an accredited K-12
college preparatory school. The school is fully accredited by ACSI
(Association of Christian Schools International) and ICAA (International
Christian Accrediting Association), both of which carry the approval of the
state of Texas through the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission
(TEPSAC). The school was opened in
1980 with 35 students and has grown to 450. Located on a 30-acre campus ten miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth,
the school draws students from a wide geographical area and a variety of church
backgrounds. LCCS is committed to
preparing students for life with a purpose.
A balance in academic, spiritual, artistic, physical and social training
serves to develop the whole person.
Developing Christian character and integrating academic excellence with
Christian principles are goals of LCCS.

CURRICULUM FEATURES
- A strong college prep core curriculum.
- Honors courses in Band, Choir,
Journalism, Pre-calculus, and Physics.
- Pre-Advanced Placement classes in
Algebra 2, Chemistry 1, English 1, English 2, English 3, Spanish 2, Spanish 3,
Spanish 4, and World History.
- Advanced Placement classes in Art, Biology
2, Chemistry 2, English 3, English 4, Government, Statistics, and US History.
- Electives include art, theatre, choir,
band, yearbook/journalism, and advanced Spanish.

Lake Country Christian School provides a rigorous
college prep educational environment with high expectations, small class sizes,
and a 98% college-bound student population.
As a result, a traditional ranking system provides an inaccurate
comparison of LCCS graduates to students from larger schools.

ACTIVITIES AND ATHLETICS
Co-curricular activities include student government,
Texas Youth and Government, National Honor Society, and academic and art
competitions through the Association of Christian School International (ACSI),
Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), 4-H Club, Chess
Club, and Spanish Club.
The Fine Arts Department faculty members are highly
qualified in their fields. They produce a Broadway musical and a play each
year. The band and choir win numerous
awards annually. Individuals also win recognition, including All-State
instrumentalists and vocalists.
LCCS has a complete varsity athletic program with
competition through TAPPS.
