Middle and High school faculty completed a combined 300 hours of training this summer in AP and Pre-AP workshops presented by the College Board. Thank you, faculty, for spending a week of your summer dedicated to the growth of our academic excellence! Thank you to: Mr. Biddle (AP Biology), Mr. Burton (AP World History), Mr. Cox (AP Statistics), Mrs. Felice (AP English Literature), Mrs. Harris (AP Physics), Mrs. Hayes (Pre-AP Spanish), Mrs. Hunsucker (Pre-AP Spanish), Mrs. Mitchell (Pre-AP Middle School English), Mr. Schaffner (AP U.S. History), and Mrs. Wolfe (AP U.S. History).

Additionally, 0ur Fine Arts staff was busy with summer workshops and summer stock work. Choir Director Daniel Montgomery spent several days in New York City attending the Broadway Teachers Workshop. During the conference, he participated in workshops and show talk-backs with Broadway performers, including several Tony Award winners. He also heard presentations on the College Audition process, musical theater directing, and stage choreography.

Theater teacher Natalie Jackson worked for the Dallas Children’s Theater all summer in several capacities, including directing a ‘Broadway Bound’ camp and producing a production of “Seussical” in one week! She also served as the dance instructor, teaching the choreography for their musical theater camps and a Scenes and Songs workshop. On top of all that, she played Mrs. Pinkerton in their mainstage union production of “Pinkalicious, The Musical!”
