Lake Country Christian School is more than a school – it is a community of Christian families with common purpose. The Development Department of LCCS exists to assist our community of parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, students and friends in supporting LCCS through giving. We offer a variety of opportunities that include supporting our operating budget through the Annual Fund, helping families determine optimal Planned Giving options for their situation, and exciting events that fund special projects.
We invite you to be a part of providing a distinctively Christian college-preparatory education that emphasizes leadership and fosters a caring environment with clear boundaries.
The Annual Fund is a giving campaign focused on supporting the annual operating budget of Lake Country Christian School. It fills in the gap between the tuition rates and what it truly costs to educate a student. Gifts to this fund assist LCCS in the accomplishment of its mission by supporting the full scope of programs offered. The Annual Fund is a sure way to assist young Christian leaders in fulfilling their purpose and impacting their culture.
Planned Giving allows donors to increase their support through estate gift planning and can be adapted to each donor’s needs. The donor can leave money/assets to a nonprofit at his/her death; or a way to invest money so that the donor receives benefits during his/her life and then bequeaths the remaining funds to the nonprofit. Because Planned Giving is a complex program of various financial instruments, LCCS enlists professional help in setting up their planned giving programs. Contact our Development Office for more information.
End of the Year Giving provides a means of supporting the programs of LCCS through tax deductible gifts at the close of the calendar year. LCCS conducts an End-of-the-Year giving campaign from October to December 31 each year.
Matching Gifts are provided by many companies to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Some companies also provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours. Find out if your company offers a matching gift program by contacting Terri Fisher.
Designated Giving allows the donor to give from the heart to the specific area of LCCS that has special interest for him/her. Examples of options that might be selected include: Annual Fund Campaign, Technology, ASPIRE Program, Tuition Assistance, Athletics, or Fine Arts.
Special Events such as Jubilee and the Boosterthon Fun Run support special projects.
- Jubilee is a dinner and auction held every other fall. It raises funds for a designated special project or area. Our LCCS family and sponsors make Jubilee a huge success, raising $198,341.51 in 2013 and over $140,000 in 2015. A few examples of how Jubilee proceeds are used to improve safety and security for our students include a new bus, the cross-campus communication system, and playground improvements.
- Boosterthon Fun Run is an annual fitness event for Elementary students. They gather pledges based on how many laps they will complete. They enjoy the big event, and the 9 day experience teaches character lessons and leadership.
