LCCS VARSITY TRACK AND FIELD
High school student-athletes competed at the TAPPS District Track Meet at Trinity Christian in Lubbock on April 15, 2023. The following advanced to the Regional Meet on April 26 at UTA:
Girls:
- Campbell Young – 2nd in 300H and 3200M
- Annie Rojo – 4th in 1600M
- Paige Sides – 2nd in Triple Jump
- Erika Hancock – 3rd in Shot Put
- Sadie James, Cadence Moore, Annie Rojo, Campbell Young – 4th in 4X400 Relay
Boys:
- Edy Fundulea – 3rd in 1600M
Track and field athletes who advanced to the TAPPS 4A State Meet were Campbell Young and Paige Sides! Congrats to both on their results at state!
- Campbell Young placed 2nd in 300m hurdles, setting a personal and school record!
- Paige Sides, triple jump, and Campbell Young, 3200m run, both finished among the top 10 in the state!
LCCS MIDDLE SCHOOL
The middle school student-athletes participated in a regional qualifier meet at Fort Worth Country Day. The following advanced to the middle school championships on April 22 at Oakridge School:
