🦅 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT | Rebekah Gary, Class of 2022
From the classroom to the community, our Eagles continue to make a difference! Rebekah graduated from Texas A&M University in May with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and is now pursuing her master’s degree in business while working toward her goal of becoming a registered dietitian.
As CEO of Aggie Agenda, a student-run business in her master’s program, Rebekah is leading a team that designed and launched an Aggie-themed academic planner. The project generated $4,000 in sales in just three weeks, but what makes this accomplishment especially meaningful is that all profits benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank, an organization close to her heart. During her undergraduate years, R served at the food bank, teaching nutrition classes and developing more than 100 budget-friendly recipes to help families make the most of their resources.
Reflecting on her time at LCCS, Rebekah remembers the lasting influence of Mr. Biddle. “I remember learning so much about the Bible from Mr. Biddle because he was always willing to tackle the hard questions. He taught me that it’s okay to be curious about God and seek a deeper understanding of His ways, which strengthened both my faith and my love of learning.”
Her journey hasn’t followed the path she originally imagined, but she encourages current Eagles to work hard, trust God, and embrace the unexpected turns. “I’ve learned that the moments that feel like setbacks can end up shaping your purpose in ways you couldn’t have imagined.”
We are proud of Rebekah and the way she is using her education, leadership, and heart for others to make a difference. What a wonderful example of our vision: Honor God. Serve Others. Lead Well.
