Academics

Your child will be prepared for life with a purpose. At LCCS, they will experience academic excellence infused with Christian principles, developing Christian character. A strong college prep core curriculum ensures your child will be ready for their next step after graduation, whether they choose to attend a university, enter the mission field, join the military, attend a vocational/professional school, or become an entrepreneur. Our students consistently score above national SAT and ACT averages and are offered outstanding scholarship opportunities. Most LCCS students attend colleges and universities across the United States (see list of college acceptances).

Spiritual Foundation

Weekly chapels are attended by all students and include worship and encouraging messages. In intermediate, middle, and high school, there are often guest speakers in chapel. The entire school completes service projects on campus and in the community each fall during a special service fundraiser, LCCS IN ACTION. High school students volunteer thousands of hours of community service each year and serve on mission trips worldwide. Middle school students partner with high school for canned food drives for area food banks. Elementary school students support Mission India with their chapel offerings and make blessing bags to support students at another local elementary school.

Student Life

All grade levels participate in programs designed to promote leadership. High school co-curricular activities include student government, the National Honor Society, and academic and art competitions through the Association of Christian School International (ACSI) and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). LCCS has a complete varsity athletics program with competition through TAPPS 4A and Div. III classifications. The Fine Arts Department produces a Broadway musical and a play each year and participates in band, choir, and art competitions through ACSI, TPSMEA, ATSSB, and TAPPS.

Accreditation

Early Education

The LCCS Early Education program is not required to register with or be licensed by the State of Texas. Its status as an Early Education program accredited by ACSI exempts LCCS from this requirement. LCCS reviews the standards annually to remain in compliance with Texas Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers. Our Early Education program is updated as needed when standards have been revised.

K-12

Lake Country Christian School is fully accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and Cognia (SACS-CASI). Both carry the approval of the state of Texas through the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC).
