Spiritual Foundation

Upper school students give thousands of hours of community service each year, and teams serve on mission trips all over the world. Middle school students hold canned food drives for area food banks, volunteer weekly with Meals on Wheels, and support the residents of Lindbergh Parc Retirement Community through several events each year. Lower school students support Mission India with their chapel offerings and visit area nursing homes and the children’s hospital.

Student Life

All grade levels participate in programs designed to promote leadership such as lower school devotionals, middle school team building, and the upper school house system. Co-curricular activities include student government, YMCA Texas Youth and Government, National Honor Society, academic and art competitions through the Association of Christian School International (ACSI) and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), 4-H Club and Chess Club. The Fine Arts Department produces a Broadway musical and a play each year and participates in band, choir, and art competitions through ACSI, TPSMEA, and TAPPS. LCCS has a complete varsity athletics program with competition through TAPPS.

Accreditation

Lake Country Christian School is fully accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and AdvancED (SACS-CASI). Both carry the approval of the state of Texas through the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC).
