Academics

We offer a strong college prep core curriculum. Our students consistently score above national averages on both the SAT and ACT and are offered outstanding scholarship opportunities. LCCS students attend colleges and universities across the United States (see list of college acceptances).

Spiritual Foundation

High school students volunteer thousands of hours of community service each year and serve on mission trips all over the world. Middle school students hold canned food drives for area food banks, and support the residents of Lindbergh Parc Retirement Community through several events each year. Elementary school students support Mission India with their chapel offerings, visit area nursing homes and the children’s hospital, and make blessing bags to support students at another local elementary school.

Student Life

All grade levels participate in programs designed to promote leadership such as elementary school devotionals, middle school team building, and the high school house system. Co-curricular activities include student government, YMCA Texas Youth and Government, National Honor Society, academic and art competitions through the Association of Christian School International (ACSI) and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), and 4-H Club. The Fine Arts Department produces a Broadway musical and a play each year and participates in band, choir, and art competitions through ACSI, TPSMEA, ATSSB and TAPPS. LCCS has a complete varsity athletics program with competition through TAPPS.

Accreditation

Lake Country Christian School is fully accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and AdvancED (SACS-CASI). Both carry the approval of the state of Texas through the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC).
